Yes, in most cases your sunglasses will float; however, styles and models vary to such an extent that it’s impossible to know the buoyancy of each and every brand on today’s market. We recommend that you test your sunglasses before taking the plunge.
Yes and No... There are a few parameters to adhere to:
(1) Linear images and text engrave better than round (spherical) images. We can engrave spheres, but they’ll be a tad smaller because the shape distorts as it encroaches on the curvature of the cork.
(2) We can’t burn gradients or shades, so keep it simple if you can. A good rule of thumb is: If it looks good in black and white, it’ll look good on your KORKZ.
No. KORKZ sunglass straps aren’t printed; they’re laser engraved, so there are no inks or dyes to fade or run.
Ha ha, thanks for the offer but we use corks that haven’t been compressed into a wine bottle. These “virgin” corks render more engraving surface and buoyancy than “used” wine corks.
Over time, suntan lotion and body oils can mar the cork. Simply apply a smidge of Softscrub and rinse to restore your KORKZ.
In the rare instance where your sunglasses are too heavy to be supported by KORKZ, we offer several options: We can supplant your existing cork with a slightly larger one or we can fully refund your purchase and you can keep your KORKZ custom sunglass strap.
We place no guarantee on the longevity of your KORKZ, but it’s a good bet that it’ll be longer than the life of your sunglasses.
Most of the world’s corks are grown in Portugal. We purchase ours from California. We then assemble KORKZ right here on the sunny side of coastal North Carolina, USA.

This company has AMAZING customer service. Their website didn't indicate if I could get overnight/expedited shipping for an order for a family vacation, so I emailed their general email and they got back to me right away. What do you give a relative for a gift that is an avid beach-goer, lives on the water and fishes a lot, and has everything he wants?
